MAPPING A MULTILINGUAL BRAIN
Awake for brain surgery: where science meets the resilience of the human spirit.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
This is a video for one of my clients and good friends, Jaime (U.S. Language Services), where we delve into neuroscience and explore the incredible work of operating rooms capable of performing awake surgeries.
CLIENT OBJECTIVES
The client aimed to include extensive real operation footage to showcase real-life cases, complemented by clean, Vox-style animations. A key challenge was presenting visually clear and comprehensible content that made the complexities of brain surgery accessible to viewers.
SOLUTION
We found a straightforward solution: whenever the script started to feel overwhelming or overloaded with information, I balanced it by implementing simple animations and mixing them with B-roll to maintain intrigue. Additionally, we incorporated some A-roll to highlight the narrator's role, paired with curious background music—and it all came together seamlessly.
